Bahia Santa Elena
We anchored at N W
33-39ft of water - Close to shoal end of the bay
Bahia Santa Elena
Even though it's well protected it still can blow pretty hard. It's not uncommon for the wind to be blowing over 25 knots in the anchorage.
This is a good place to rest and wait for a weather window either north or south.
It shoals pretty quickly near our anchor waypoint so you may want to be a little more Northwest.
There are fishermen who put nets in this bay so be careful if you plan to leave at night or in the early morning hours. You may find an unlit net very close to your boat....

Getting to Shore
We didn't go to shore as we weren't checked into the country yet.
Others did go to shore and found that the trails have no longer been maintained. Everything seems to be overgrown and travel ashore is more and more difficult.
Officialdom - CHecking In/out
None - There is nothing here except a few fishermen...
In town
There is no town just a beautiful empty anchorage.
