ALASKA, THE GLACIERS AND THE INSIDE PASSAGE
The Route - ALASKA, THE INSIDE PASSAGE AND BRITISH COLUMBIA
Once we make it to Alaska the season starts with a trip around Kodiak Island to the rarely visited Katmai National Park.
We will meet any crew in Kodiak AK and will explore a few of it's harbors and bays before we cross over to Geographic Harbor and Katmai National Park.
Bears, Humback Whales, Seals, Sea Lion, Otters and Eagles. This is a prime place to see all of these.
Working our way east we will cross the Cook Inlet and explore anchorages in Kachemak State Park and Kenai Fjords National Park before heading up to Seward.
From Seward we will head over to Prince William Sound and check out the glaciers and wildlife in College Fjord.
Next we will gear up to cross the Gulf of Alaska. We will spend some days in Prince William Sound waiting for a good weather window and then head across towards Glacier Bay National Park and up to Skagway.
The next leg explores the Admiralty Islands and South East Alaska.
From Skagway to Ketchikan we will explore the bays and islands along the way.
After restocking in Ketchikan we will head over the Canadian Border to Prince Rupert to plan our jump over to the Queen Charlotte Islands and Haida Gwaii.
The Queen Charlotte Islands are a large archipelago that consists of 2 main islands and a myriad of small ones 120 kilometers off the northwest coast of British Columbia. It is said that they possess a biological and cultural treasure that is duplicated no where else on earth. South Moresby has one of the richest Temperate Pacific Marine Zones in the world and has a coastline that is ideal to sail/cruise along due to the convoluted shoreline and countless islands. We will wait for a weather window and work our way down to Port Hardy on the North End of Vancouver Island.
If you are interested in joining us please send an email to [email protected] and we can add you to the list. We aren't booking yet but will let you know as soon as we are!!
Please remember that we receive a lot of interest and simply filling in the forms does not mean you will get to crew aboard Liquid.
We also are often a week or two without internet or email contact and it may take us a while to get back to you.
